About Us

The Texarkana Humane Society is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to re-homing  orphaned animals, promoting the human-animal bond, preventing animal cruelty, educating  children and adults about responsible pet ownership,  and preventing pet overpopulation.

Our team is made up entirely of volunteers.  We advocate for those animals who need our help.  Even a little help goes a long way.

That is why we are especially happy to find new volunteers who share our commitment to doing good in the world.  Do you want to support us by helping with our work?  Then do not hesitate to contact us.  A helping hand is always greatly appreciated and our animals will love you for it !

Does your outdoor pet(s) have plenty of

            water, food, and shelter?

We are so pleased with the amount of people who took advantage of our MAD campaign and were able to have their pets spayed/neutered.  Unfortunately,  those funds  raised for this campaign have been exhausted and we will no longer be accepting any applications for that program.  However, as always, we still have our low cost spay/neuter program available to the public.

The Texarkana Humane Society will be at PetSmart this Saturday, May 12th from 10-3 with lots of wonderful puppies and dogs for adoption.  The Humane Society of the Ouachita's will also be there with many adoptable pets.

We now have TEXARKANA HUMANE SOCIETY t-shirts for sale for $15 !!!

Email AMBERli4@yahoo.com for more info.

The Texarkana Humane Society is in need of the following donations:

Dry dog & puppy food
Dry cat and kitten food
Cat litter (scoopable please) and litter boxes
XSm, small and medium dog collars
We can also use monetary donations to help purchase flea/tick topicals, and heartworm preventative

We also are in need of foster homes.  The more homes we have the more lives we can save.  It is a truly rewarding and wonderful experience fostering these animals and then knowing they went to wonderful furever homes.

If you can help with any of these things please contact Sherrie @ 903- 838-6334.
